The Truth About Warranties

When you’re looking around for a Murphy bed in Singapore, you’ll probably notice some companies shouting about their 5-year or even “lifetime” warranty. Sounds amazing right? Is a long warranty worth the extra cost, or is it better to pay for repairs only when needed?

The truth is

Murphy bed hardware/mechanism isn’t some secret technology. You can buy it from hardware shops or even online, and most of those don’t come with any warranty at all. What really matters is who you buy from and whether they’ll actually be around when you need them for replacing parts.

Long warranty doesn’t always mean the best

New vendors purchase their hardware from hardware shop or online from china, may have many variations. They are unable to retrieve similar parts for replacement over a period of time.

Some facts

A number of our own clients spent thousands just to tear out their custom carpentry, rebuild cabinets, and replace hardware from us. Which is way more expensive than the Murphy bed they paid for.
